Pebble Technology raises $15M in series ‘A' financing

Pebble Technology, a Palo Alta CA-based developer of the wildly popular Pebble smart watch, has raised $15 million in series ‘A' financing to expand development and marketing. The company was started by Vancouver native and Univ of Waterloo graduate Eric Migicovsky who previously raised $10.2 million through a Kickstarter cloud funding campaign, the largest in history. Prior to Kickstarter, Migicovsky utilized the Univ of Waterloo's Velocity Incubator program and received assistance from Y Combinator, a seed accelerator based in Mountain View CA which offers three-month training programs. The company is hiring interns from the Univ of Waterloo to meet its explosive personnel needs....
